In a proactive effort to combat the threat of dengue in the community, Barangay Poblacion launched a Dengue Awareness Flyer Distribution Drive, led by none other than Barangay Captain Alma Otero, together with the Chairman on Health & Sanitation Kagawad Jing Casas and the full support of the Barangay Council.
Held as part of the barangay’s ongoing public health campaign, the team went around the community distributing informative flyers that highlighted:
- What causes dengue
- How to prevent mosquito breeding
- What to do in case of symptoms
- And practical tips to keep homes and surroundings safe
The initiative aimed to educate every resident on how to protect themselves and their families, especially during the rainy season when cases of dengue typically rise.
Also present during the activity were Councilors EF Quintana, Florentino Jr., Boboy Marcial, Danilo Rosario, Precy Langi, Ivan Alejandro, Lester Teng Mendoza Joson, and Barangay Secretary Jean Castillo Somera Creo. Their active participation showed the council’s commitment to keeping the community safe and informed. Through this campaign, Barangay Poblacion continues to prove that health and safety are top priorities—and that through teamwork and awareness, we can all take part in creating a healthier, dengue-free community.
